"Positive adoption language," a tool used by the adoption industry to make adoption more palatable for adopters, expectant parents, and society as a whole, is rejected by the anti-adoption movement. Words like birthmother, birthfather, birth parent, biological parent, biological father, and biological mother are used here for search engine purposes only. Articles and blog postings will use Honest Adoption Language exclusively.
